Food Pantry

Community Healthcare Network (CHN) and Institute of Community Living (ICL) has come together to create a food pantry for community residents to receive groceries for free. Participants can choose the foods they want instead of receiving something pre-bagged where it may have items that they cannot eat or do not like to eat.

Our food pantry is open to the public every Wednesday from 10:00am – 1:00pm at 2581 Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 on the first-floor cafeteria.

Check out healthy options available in our food pantry. Pick the ones that you like the most.

Participants can choose up to 9 meals for their household when they visit. Each meal includes fruits or vegetables, grains, and protein or dairy, enough for three days for one person. Sometimes, we also give out extra items like cleaning wipes, laundry detergent, pet food, body wash, toothpaste, and personal hygiene products.

Prepare for Your Visit to the Food Pantry

Help Our Food Pantry

We are always looking for donations such as food, personal hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, clean reusable bags and money. Please don’t buy stuff at a grocery store to donate it to us. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we can purchase items much cheaper than what you can buy at any supermarket. For example, an 18oz box of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal costs $4.79 at a supermarket, but we can buy it for $1.48. We can offer you a 501(c)(3) donation receipt and you can use it to claim a tax deduction. If you would like to donate packaged food, please make sure it’s not opened and not past its expiration date. We accept large amounts of fresh produce as well!

If you would like to volunteer at our food pantry or have any questions about our food pantry, please email David Chen at [email protected].

In 2023, we helped 16,978 families and distributed 218,320 pounds of food.
