For Professionals

Family Practice

Family Practice Fellows will be exposed to innovative models of family medicine and community psychiatry that are rooted in evidence-based principles of integrated medical and behavioral healthcare. Team-based care, interprofessional education, and practice efficiency will be emphasized with ongoing attention toward cultural sensitivity.

By the end of the year, Family Practice Fellows will be:

  • Proficient in primary care in an urban community health setting with a medically underserved population
  • Capable of seeing 18-20 patients per day in a clinical setting
  • Able to treat a wide range of patients and conduct visits from prenatal to geriatric care
  • Able to problem solve with ease and determine appropriate referrals and referral sources
