Teens P.A.C.T. Video Series

Somethin’ to Think About

Is it OK to wait? What is acceptable behavior in a relationship? If I am sexually active, what are the facts I should know? If I am scared and don’t know where to turn for these questions, where can I go? Made for teens by teens, “Somethin’ to Think About” was conceived, produced, and written by teens trained in health education/improvisational theater to address the above issues, and much more.

The video compilation below includes four interactive shorts that re-enact real-life situations. For organizations interested in ordering the Somethin’ To Think About Video series, please complete the Order Form (PDF link, Word link). For more information, please contact Michele Perlman at mperlman@chnnyc.org.

“Taken Care Of”

“Taken Care Of” addresses teen pregnancy, condom use, and partner communication. The audience will experience the challenges of 14-year-old Trina as she faces the conflict between advocating for her own needs and the fear of losing her 17-year-old boyfriend in the process.

“Movies & Sex”

“Movies & Sex” explores sexual values around casual sexual relationships and the consequences of inconsistent use of protection. Lisa realizes that having an “open relationship” with her best friend, Akeem, may not be what she wants as she discloses to her HIV+ cousin Michelle that she may have an STD.

“Whatcha Gonna Do”

“Whatcha Gonna Do” Kayla and Dennis find themselves in a compromising situation- “the condom broke.” This scene dispels some of the myths about how pregnancy occurs and raises awareness about emergency contraception.

“The Little Things”

“The Little Things” examines the healthy and unhealthy aspects of teen relationships. As Keisha and Lamar navigate through tender moments and abusive explosions, Keisha struggles to find her voice while Lamar struggles to maintain control.
