Women’s Support Services

CHN offers two HIV case management programs, overseen by the Social Work Department: the COBRA program for those who are Medicaid-eligible and the Women’s Supportive Services Program (WSS) for women.

Women’s Supportive Services (WSS) provides support services for HIV- positive women and their families. This program is available at the Queens Health Center.

WSS Program Components:

• Weekly educational support groups
• Psychological counseling
• Referrals to legal services
• Risk reduction counseling
• Crisis intervention
• Escort and transportation
• Emergency funds
