Our Teens PACT Program offers STI and birth control education for young adults ages 10-21. Teens P.A.C.T. is designed to promote sexual health among young people regardless of whether or not they are sexually active. Our goals are to prevent pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV among NYC youth.
Every year Teens P.A.C.T. selects a group of teens that are dedicated, creative, outgoing, have a lot of energy, are natural leaders, and have a strong desire to positively impact their peers and community.
The Peer Leader Program is very similar to a paid internship. In addition to receiving a salary, the program is designed to help you develop solid work experience and important interpersonal skills. This is not only a job; it is a learning experience!
If you are a teen, you can apply to become a Teens PACT Peer Leader.
As a Peer Leader, you will:
As a Peer Leader, you will also make “More Than Just Sex” Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos. You will write, direct, produce, and act in a series of PSAs that talk about problems young people deal with today. To watch all the PSAs, click HERE.
The Peer Leadership program requires a yearlong commitment starting in July and ending in June.
Recruitment only happens once a year! Applications are made available in March and can be submitted through the May deadline.
