Job Opening: Healthcare Center Director (Bronx)

As part of senior management staff, directs, manages and analyzes all clinical activities including program development and implementation, clinical services and community educational and outreach programs. Participates with central agency management and Board of Directors in the development and formulation of overall agency policies and programs.

Some of the essential functions include:

Essential Functions:     

  • Directs all activities involved in the provision of services at a clinic including scheduling, staffing patient flow, on-going clinical operations, maintains and security of physical facility, and monitoring and review of daily fiscal and accounting procedures.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, on-going supervision and evaluation of all clinic staff. Assists the Human Resources Department in the recruitment of appropriate staff.
  • Acts as primary liaison with appropriate community groups to establish, promote, and carry out programs which are responsive to community needs.
  • Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
  • Works with central management to set annual program goals and objectives and take responsibility for the achievement of these goals and objectives on a timely basis.
  • Works with central fiscal staff in budget preparation and modification.
  • Insures the accuracy and completeness of medical records and statistical information by periodic reviews.

Qualifications: CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIRED: •Bachelor’s degree with a major in public health administration or related field.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: •At least three (3) years’ experience in administration and/or health. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Interest in conviction of purpose and aims for all programs in the clinic • Respect for the rights of individuals to make their own decisions about family planning, etc. • Ability to communicate easily and display a cordial manner towards individuals from variety of socio-economic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
